You hear all about coping techniques but you don’t actually have to just cope!
Let me give you an example of a client who came to see me, let’s call him Rob.
Rob contacted me a number of times before he had the courage to come along for his first session. We all know how anxiety can make your life so small, that you avoid certain situations including getting help..
Rob started having anxiety 15 years ago, the anxiety grew over the years and attached itself to so many situations, from being uncomfortable using public transport and escalated and attached itself to basic day to day activities to the point where he was getting anxious just having a shower.
Looking back at his past and working through his timeline, finding potential trigger points. Then using a mixture of CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) and hypnotherapy, within 8 sessions, he had his life back.
Rob was amazed at the dramatic effect that the therapy had and also how easy and relaxing the process was. He now is able to live a life without crippling anxiety, don’t get me wrong he still gets anxious about situations but the anxiety is at a natural, healthy level.
So the next time you are having a panic attack, or you find yourself avoiding situations and making your world smaller and smaller, remember it doesn’t have to be this way.
